A very special bit of news that arrived today in my emails. It's something i never would have dreamed of when starting dabbling in music and sound.
I’m incredibly honoured that the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia (NFSA) has offered to archive my soundtrack for The Story of the Kelly Gang (1906), created for Documentaries Rescored. It goes to show you just have to keep working hard and dont let anything stop you. Being a good team player and surrounding yourself with supportive and talented people also helps!
I loved the way the NFSA described the work — as a contemporary perspective on an older work that gives it a different life. Knowing that this soundtrack will now become part of the NFSA collection, alongside the continuing story of this extraordinary piece of Australian cinema history, is something I’m very proud of.
A huge thank you to the NFSA and Melbourne Documentary Film Festival for giving this project another life.
